Prospective Ph.D. students are welcome to contact Dr. Stacey Louie with inquiries on graduate research assistantships.  Students with prior laboratory experience are especially encouraged, particularly in the following areas:
– Colloid and surface science
– Characterization of polymers or macromolecules, including natural organic matter
– Detection and characterization of organic contaminants, e.g., by fluorescence, FTIR spectroscopy, or LC-MS
– Water treatment; e.g., advanced oxidation processes
– Stormwater analysis
